The Scene
Tony's Villa Capri has been in operation for more than 40 years, making it a Kansas City mainstay for excellent Italian food. Checkered tablecloths, plastic ivy and frescoed walls lend the interior a quaint, laid-back feel.

The Food
The Napoletana Pizza is a thin-crusted, straightforward treat. Topping are predictable (hamburger, Italian sausage, pepperoni and a smattering of vegetables), but they come in generous portions. A hefty helping of lasagna comes with your choice of meatballs, meat sauce or red sauce, and the platter of fettuccine swims in a creamy Alfredo sauce that hints of garlic. The veal parmigiana, fried chicken, and chicken livers are lightly breaded and deep fried. Salad and a basket of fresh, warm bread come with meals. The homemade cheesecake topped with cherries is delicious.
